Context
The web platform underwent a complete site redesign. This process revealed inconsistencies in the hero carousel across different pages. In order to address this and accommodate future features, we needed to unify the designs into a single scalable component for engineering to implement consistently across the platform.
Problem
Pluto has multiple hero carousel designs, which are challenging for engineering to implement consistently. The designs also can't accommodate the wealth of different metadata that the programming team may need to show for each content, and the overall user experience lacks a premium feel.
Solution
A unified hero carousel design capable of handling various metadata permutations while maintaining a consistent and premium look across all pages. This solution streamlined engineering efforts, allowing for easier implementation and scalability for future updates.
